A hospital bed has opened up at UVA and Bob is now awaiting transfer via life flight. The current weather in Charlottesville is stormy, so we're waiting for the storms to pass before the flight is cleared for takeoff. It appears as if the storms are headed towards Williamsburg, so we may have to wait until they have passed through this area as well.
We were thinking of you as the storm passed through Williamsburg. Were you able to get to C'ville?
ReplyDeleteBob has not been cleared to leave Riverside yet. Evan is at his bedside. We're hopeful he will leave before midnight. Megan has already left for C-ville to spend the night with a friend. We'll update in the morning.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are with Bob. I'm sure the journey to UVA will be fine (I'm more concerned about this sudden attack and the seizures) I have only met Bob once, at a coaching conference in Taiwan a few years ago, but I feel like I've gotten to know this rare, wonderful man through his writing. The world needs him. Best wishes for his speedy recovery.
